I will throw in my opinion also. I have three good sets of speakers on my Macs and support several other Macs with good speakers. I have found the JBL Creatures to be the best for under $150....In fact, they can usually be had for $70. I actually do not have the Creatures but have recommended them to folk who's Macs (and one Wintel) I support. I do have the Apple/Harmon Kardon w/iSub on a MDD that I like a lot. But I found the Creature to be more to my taste. I also have Rogers' Sound Lab and some Kiplish speakers......All of these are very nice but I think the Creature is the best buy under $150.
