"Little Snitch" is a great application, however it isn't a Virus or Spy 
Ware detector. It's main function is to watch you TCP I/O ports and 
report when an application is trying communicate with your OS. So if 
you get a "Virus or Spy Ware" in your system it will let you know if it 
is trying to send data out onto the network.

It also reports if someone is trying to "Hack" into your OS.
