[G4] How do I connect a Powermac G4 400 DVD to a beige Powermac G3?

(1) "Cat 5" is a cable standard. "Crossover" refers to the cable's pin 
wiring.

(2) Apple doesn't recommend crossover cables for patching two Macs 
together. It states that some products require crossover cables, while 
others don't. See
