[G4] PC DVD-R in Quicksilver?

I need a DVD-R drive for my Quicksilver to back up all of my games and I 
found a pretty good drive on New Egg 
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827101632). Will it 
work in my 2001 Quicksilver G4 or do I have to shell out the big bucks and 
get a Pioneer drive?
