[G4] OSX10.4.1 DVD Player problem!

Is anyone else aware of a problem with the DVD player app in their 
OSX10.4.1? The Player app for OS9.2.2 is working reasonably well but the 
OSX has a terrible video problem. Lots of pixelation...big chunkey 
blocks mostly green that makes the app useless. Is there a OM player I 
could use with OSX10.4.1 that isnt too expensive? My newly installed 
DVR-109 needs a burn test of some sort but I don't have anything 
available to burn. Any suggestions?
