Richard Dion -- On my PowerBook G4, 10.2.8, System Preferences ==> Energy Saver ==> (tab) Options there is the available checkbox: Other Options -- | | Restart automatically after a power failure -- See if that is checked and uncheck it. Then dismiss the System Preferences/Energy Saver window (red dismiss lozenge in upper left corner) and try an ordinary "Shut Down..." from the Apple window.. Clearly, non-server-intended Mac's, such as my PowerBook also seem to have that option. -- Pres RE: > Date: Sat, 14 May 2005 15:55:51 -0500 > From: rich northouse <rnorthouse at wi.rr.com> > Subject: Re: [G4] G4 Startup > To: "A place to discuss Apple's G4 computers." > <g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> > Message-ID: <ca430a696283dfed240538d0fda1060d at wi.rr.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" > > Rich, > > You can set up a Mac to automatically power up, in case of power > failure, etc..
