[G4] DVDs not showing up in G4

Did you ever change the region codes?

Depending on the drive model you get a limited number of changes and  
then they lock out, usually 4 times.

Also check system profiler does it see the drives as DVD drives?

Are these data or movies(commercial or homemade)
