Try using their uninstaller, the second link at the following URL: http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/navm/nav_mac_9_files.html I is the only way I know of removing all the bits hidden all over your boot drive. I upgraded to NAV 10 for Mac, now that I am using OS 10.4.1. NAV 9 for Mac can not handle the changes to the filling system in Tiger. See thread on MacFIXIT.com for more detail. NAV 10 also allows one to designate "safe" zones to be searched automatically for the first time under OS 10.
