I just recently went through a similar issue and received much help from the members of this list. My G4 Dual MDD shut down on me while in use and after that, it wouldn't respond at all when I tried to power it back up. The issue with mine was a blown fuse in the power supply. It's possible an environmental change fried the fuse or maybe something else went in the PS. I couldn't afford the downtime of troubleshooting the fault, so I crossed my fingers and had a replacement shipped overnight. So far, no further issues... and I have an extra power supply sitting around here that I'll probably never do anything with, although I'll keep telling myself I need to keep it around "just in case". (Just like all that other stuff...) Best of luck to you...
