Hi there, As I mentioned in an email last week, I am trying to help out a friend of mine with a beige G3 333 running OS 10.2.8. After all the issues we have had so far, we ended up putting in a new 50gb SCSI HD, partitioned it into two. One half to 7gb's for the system drive and then the rest for files on the second partition. So far, I have been repairing the partition after every few installs and it seems to be stable. What I would like to do now is create a Carbon Copy Clone of the system drive in it's current state and burn it to a DVD so, if this issue should arise again, we can just clone the already configured system back to the hard drive and not need to deal with reinstalling and configuring everything. I have put the SCSI HD into my G4 tower and booted it up. The drive mounts no problem but, my question is, what parameters do I need to set in Carbon Copy Cloner in order to make a proper image to burn to DVD, which can later be re- cloned back to a HD and be able to boot the G3 333 if needed? Any help is greatly appreciate. If I can get this to work, I would also like to do this to my beige G3 266 that I am using as a file server in case I ever run into an issue like this again. thanks, -s*
