I should have been clearer in my original post ... The computer will boot into OS 9.2.2, but only using the OS 9.2.2 folder on the drive that came with the computer. (One reason I chose this computer was that it would boot into OS 9.) Also, all volumes show up on the Desktop and are accessible, whether I boot into OS X or OS 9. So there's no driver problem. The question is about booting into 9.2.2 using one of those volumes. Do I have to reinstall 9.1 and the 9.2.2 updates on one of those volumes (WITHOUT OS 9 helper, of course!) in order for it to boot on this machine? >From: Wayne Clodfelter <wayne at troutnc.com> >Date: Sat, 12 Nov 2005 16:28:48 -0500 > >Were the OS X volumes erased/partitioned with the Install OS 9 drivers checkbox CHECKED? >Sounds like they were not, in which case, the OS 9 volumes are not seen by the OS X system. >Date: Sat, 12 Nov 2005 13:42:44 -0800 >From: John Baltutis <baltwo at san.rr.com> > >On 11/12/05, Aaron <aarons510 at infinex.com> wrote: >> >> I've got a few volumes on my disks with OS 9.1 or 9.2.2 System Folders >>that were bootable on my old PTP (Sonnet or MaxPowr card) G3. See <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86209> for details on those machines that can only boot into OS X.
