[G4] Cable Modem and Seeing Activity Thereof

I use Speakeasy. BUT, other thoughts:

1.  I don't know which provider you use, but there are reports (cant  
remember where I read this), that service providers are cutting each  
other's lines "by accident" when installing their own,

2. you should be able to see differences in utilities/Network Utility/ 
Trace Route. When it's fast, there should be less routing.

3. Sometimes, ISP routers go out and trace routes increase - this  
also happens with volume overloads.

4. You are at the mercy of the required site as well. If they are  
overloaded, your link will be slow, but I suppose Speed Tests should  
tell you if it's you or them,

5. Today- the links have been awful. (Comcast). Up and down, slow,  
fast and stop.
