[G4] G4 CUBE + TIGER OSX

Hello,
Is it wise or unwise to install TIGER on a G4 CUBE ?
The folks at my local Apple Store (NY Soho) claim that
it will make my machine more sluggish.  Is this true.
What are everyone's recommendations ?
