[G4] Digital audio card for Sawtooth?

I have a G4/450 Sawtooth that I'd like to connect to a Minidisc player 
via an optical lead so that I can copy music down to it.

Does a PCI sound card exist that could be installed into the Mac that 
would allow this? There are plenty of cheap PC PCI sound cards with 
optical outputs (and inputs) but most I guess, will either not have 
drivers or be incompatible in some other way.
