Peter Direct from "pages" Help page... You can import documents and media files that were created using other applications into a Pages document. Here are ways to import files: To import a document, drag a document created using Microsoft Word or AppleWorks to the Pages application icon. A new Pages document opens, and the contents of the imported document is displayed. To import a media file, drag the image, music, or movie file from the Finder or the Pages Media Browser (click Media in the toolbar) to an open Pages document. Imported media files can include images (such as those that iPhoto supports), PDF files, QuickTime movies, or Flash animations. Items imported from Microsoft Word include styles, tables (including formulas), inline and fixed objects, charts, footnotes, endnotes, bookmarks, hyperlinks, lists, sections, and merge fields. Items imported from AppleWorks include lists, tables, spreadsheets, charts, inline and fixed objects, footnotes, endnotes, bookmarks, hyperlinks, and merge fields. So I guess the answer is yes... but then I'm still learning. I just tried it and it works great. Guess over the holiday I have to import all of my business folders over - that going to take a while. Otherwise - Heres hoping all will have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season!
