I'm with Earnest on this one. Just because new stuff is cheaper does not mean you should throw perfectly good equipment in the landfill. In most cases, obsolescence is just a lack of imagination. Also, the Alps MD-1300 is not an ordinary printer. It prints high-gloss metallic ink, opaque white, and other things no regular inkjet or laser printer can possibly do. So it's worth saving. I happen to have one, and I'd like to get it running under OS X for convenience sake. Please let us know how you fare Earnest. - Jay Ruuska > From: Ernest Vincent Pons-Worley <eponsworley at mac.com> > Reply-To: "A place to discuss Apple's G4 computers." > <g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> > Date: Mon, 18 Dec 2006 09:32:02 -0800 > To: "g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com" <g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> > Cc: Ernest Vincent Pons-Worley <eponsworley at mac.com> > Subject: [G4] SCSI Help, please > > I have a dual 450 MHz processor Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics) with 960 > MB RAM and two internal HDDs: a 100 GB running Tiger 10.4.8 and an 80 > GB running OS 9.2.2 (dual boot). > > I'm trying to retire a 1998-vintage old world beige G3.
