Hi Earle - I was pretty happy with the OS X VueScan drivers for my SCSI UMAX 2400S on my Sawtooth G4/400 machine. I suspect that they make one for your scanner too. Check them out at http://www.hamrick.com/ I think they have a free trial. OTOH. I suggest you consider put the cost of the drivers (not really very cheap) toward investing in a new USB scanner that would be compatible with OS X out of the box. I did this recently and have been very pleased with the improved performance of my new scanner compared to the 4 yr old antique it replaces. The software that came with the Epson scanner I got works a lot better and more intuitively than the Vuescan stuff I was using. And the higher resolution is a big plus. And I'm glad to be rid of the SCSI connections.
