You can probably purchase a new scanner, which will have an USB interface, for about the same as a SCSI interface. And have fewer problems -- and probably a better scanner!!! My two bits worth. I think you can get that card relatively cheap now. On the other hand, one of my friends has a G4 that had that card and worked ok with the Apple processor, then he put a upgraded processor and had to remove the card because it made the computer unstable.
