Hi, Im driving 10.3.9 on a 400 MHz dual-boot G4 AGP desktop: L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB Memory: 960 MB Bus Speed: 100 MHz Boot ROM Version: 3.2.2f1 Bought a set of Apple disks to install Tiger and they wont even show up om my desktop. OK, the disks say iMac G5, but I tried them in my friends G4 powerbook and they at least show up. Am I barking up the wrong tree? I suspect the drive in this computer -- its a little sketchy about recognizing CDs sometimes and I have to read them into iTunes on my external scsi burner. Is there a way to test the drive? Its original, I believe: MATSHITADVD-ROM SR-8585: Capacity: 725.34 MB Model: MATSHITADVD-ROM SR-8585 Revision: 1A28 Serial Number: Drive Type: CD-ROM/DVD-ROM Removable Media: Yes Detachable Drive: No BSD Name: disk2 Protocol: ATAPI Unit Number: 0 Socket Type: Internal OS9 Drivers: No Any help or advice greatly appreciated! -Dexter Payne -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
