The choice should be due to the size that suits your work, or if your work gets scaled up to very large size then Intuos is the best choice. Or if you only do an occasional bit of work, or you just want to play around a bit then it's hard to justify the larger price, because the Graphire is an excellent tablet. I have an intuos3 9x12inch and love it to death however there are often times I wish I had a smaller one for portability reasons. It is hugely valuable to me to be able to zoom in and out with a slide of the finger on the side of the tablet, although apart from that the side keys are a convenience rather than an essential for me. So I guess the ideal solution for me is a larger Intuos and a smaller Grahire for mobile sketching with the laptop. The first choice was definitely the Intuos, however.
