Oddly enough I can't answer that question with any degree of certainty, now. Shortly after that time I acquired a slightly better PowerMac G4 867 Quicksilver and installed the same graphics (ATI Radeon 8500) card and the Pioneer DVR-109 into it and the DVD playback work flawlessly on the 867 right there and then. Then I took the graphics card from the 867 and its older Pioneer Burner and put it in the the G4 500 AGP and its DVD playback work flawlessly too immediately. So there must have been a unique conflict between the G4 500 and the Radeon 8500. Since I don't have the Radeon in the G4 500 AGP I don't know if it is fixed, but since your is working it is safe to assume it would work after the 10.4.4 update as well. That is good that it is fixed, looks like it was an Apple Problem all along if one of their updates fixed it. On Jan 13, 2006, at 9:21 AM, Gregory Cortelyou wrote: > My DVD player works again!
