Try deleting this file in your home folder: "/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist" Then reboot and check your Display Preferences again. I use a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX with TwinView (64MB) on my Quicksilver and have no problem using two displays. I'm not sure if the NVIDIA GeForce2 MX (32MB) will do the same, but I believe it should. Check your System Profiler for exact description of your card.
