Hi - Diskwarrior Support suggests I do Apple Hardware Test, so I have trepidatiously opened up my Mac and peered inside yet again. I removed my PCI card (Adaptec SCSI card) and see three RAM card slots. They all look alike, and I've temporarily misplaced my packing sheet from when I bought the computer. Is there a way to see which card is the one that came from Apple and which ones CDW added before shipping? I think I also bought and added one a year or two ago. OK, from Apple System Profiler - Memory Overview: Location Type Size DIMM0/J21 SDRAM 128 MB DIMM1/J22 SDRAM 256 MB DIMM2/J23 SDRAM 512 MB Would the 128MB have come from Apple? The 256 most likely from CDW, and the 512 added by me. I'll yank the ones in slots 1 & 2, then, but all the slots look alike, as do the cards. Can I tell by what's written on the cards. Yes, it be dark in there, but I'll use a flashlite. I do like the side latch on this G4, it is great!!! Yes, I'll look online for some diagrams of this Mac's innards, that may help. Any suggestions you guys have are gratefully received. Also, there are a number of G4 towers out there, and when folks ask me which I have, I don't know what to say - usually I give them the processor speed. Is there a name for mine?
