Thanks to all who gave me advice and knowledge. In short, Every time I tried to install (Archive and Install) it would quit and say there were errors. I eventually moved all the OS9 stuff and OSX apps to the other drive and reformatted the drive, including zeroing the whole disk. (40Gig) I made to partitions and went to do a complete install. Installer quit with a message of error during install. Falling back on what I do know, I booted of the other drive and ran Norton's on the freshly formatted drive. A few minutes in, I started hearing a grind, pause, grind, pause, etc. coming from the tower. I'm going to take a wild guess and say I have a bad drive. I don't know if a good formatting utility can map it out or even if it's worth it, considering it's probably the original HD. I am assuming it's a mechanical HD problem, not just a bad sector, since it's making a grinding noise, huh? So, has anyone seen a good price on a good 120Gig HD, preferably a Seagate? STeve
