[G4] installing OS9

  after fighting this thing, i am ashamed to admit that it appears i overlooked a crucial fact
   
  i do not at this time have an actual apple usb keyboard
   
  i was assured that this would not matter, and that "any old usb keyboard would suffice" but that now appears to be untrue
   
  at least for the installation of os9 as it were...
   
  i will try again when i have an appropriat keyboard
