[G4] DVR-104 can't read?

I have the DVR-105 and it doesn't read DVD+R discs. However it does
read all DVDs that I rent at the video store and I am under the belief
that they are all DVD+Rs.

So I suspect that only commercial discs of this type can be read and
not the blank discs that we use to do our backups, etc..

Possibly, I am mistaken.
