[G4] Increasing panics and beachballs

My g4 Sawtooth running 10.2.8 has been experiencing more frequent 
panics and endless spinning beach balls while I'm using Safari and 
Mail. I've run Onyx, Mac Janitor, Rember, and repaired permissions 
using the Apple disc utility on my install disk with no help. I have 
not installed any ram or other hardware. Is there anything else I 
should try before taking out ram sticks?
