I have a Sonnet 1.8GHz dual installed in my Quicksilver 2002. When it was first delivered, the cooling fans were not plugged into the processor, and it would overheat and freeze after about 5 minutes, maybe less. i called their tech support and they had me plug in the fans--the connection was under the processor board and not visible after the processor was installed. But the problem continued. This time after about an hour the computer would freeze just like it did before the fans were plugged in. I called them again, and they replaced the processor. I've been running like a charm ever since. The moral: make sure the processor's heat sink, whatever it is, is properly connected. Re: Virtual PC: I recently installed Virtual PC and Window XP (with the processor upgrade installed). It works, but it's very slow. I don't think it utilizes the dual processor. I needed it for a Web design app that was required for a class I'm taking and not available for Mac. The app runs fine. Internet Explorer, however, is VERY slow--I use it to check the Web documents. I hope this helps.
