That requires an objective decision on each individual's part.

Are you satisfied with the performance of the older machine? Can you  
afford a new and faster machine? Are you willing to upgrade peripheral  
devices and software if you upgrade the OS? Do you really need OS-10.5  
on your machine?

Do you just WANT a newer, faster, more powerful, and prettier Mac  
system?

For me, it was a test only. I could do it, so I did it! The slower G4  
now has OS-10-5 on it and it hasn't had any problem so far, but I am  
keeping an eye on it for any odd behaviour.
