Be VERY careful here. Results have varied widely. Some swear by theirs. I used a Mercury upgrade in my G4 Quicksilver, and it went bad on me, and it was replaced by OWC. But, then a few years later the replacement started to go bad on me, too, and at that point, I just replaced the upgrade with the original CPU and sold the computer and replaced it with an Intel-based iMac. I think that the culprit in my case was overheating. Even though the upgrade daughter board had its own cooling fan.
