Thanks David and B G.

I think and hope that I have the concept of static,
dynamic and networking down? I  just recovered a saved
May 2001 (No.57) issue of MacAddict--I usually don't
purchase magazines--which speaks to my questions. I
found some additional information on the maker of the
modem/router's site. Thanks again for taking the time
to answer.
