I use a Plextor PX-TV4202U and EyeTV on my Power Mac G5 and it works great but I also have a Panasonic DMR-ES45V DVD/VCR recorder that records on Dual Layer DVDs and it works very well.. Depending on the speed of your Mac you should consider a video converter that encodes the signal first so your computer does not  have to do all the work.

Also there are the DVDr units that have hard drives in them it might work but can they Record Dual -layer disk?
