To clarify: The G4 533 will accept the install Tiger DVD meaning you can put it in and it knows there is a DVD there. But when you try to actually upgrade the system closes out the DVD and will not perform the install. The same install DVD worked fine on a G4 450. The same G4 533 reads all other DVDs just fine. It would seem odd that a faster machine (the 533) could not perform the same OS install that a slower machine (the 450) did just fine with. Both machines are running with over a gig of RAM and plenty of free disk space.
