[G4] Mail 2 Days Difference

Hello G4 List:
I have 2 Computers on same Network, 1 only retrieves mail 2 days old.

I have a Powermac G4 Dual 1.25Ghz, with OS 10.4.10, and a Powerbook  
G4 867, with OS 10.3.
I use Mac Mail, and have Verizon DSL, with a  Wireless Modem.The  
Powerbook is on a Cat 5 cable down stairs. The desk job gets mail  
smoothly and fast, down stairs the PB only downloads mail that is 2  
days past. The Preferences appear to be the same. Question why and  
what do I need to do to have both getting latest mail???.
