I'll double that newbie response: I'm under the impression that the sawtooth has an empty bay where you could just install the drive directly as a slave...no need to go external at all. Or you could swap the original out to your external enclosure and put the new drive inside. Seems easier to just slave the new drive >From: Michelle <happydog at northmo.net> >Reply-To: "A place to discuss Apple's G4 computers." ><g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> >To: "A place to discuss Apple's G4 computers." ><g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> >Subject: [G4] Question about Firewire enclosure / hard drive >Date: Tue, 29 May 2007 22:24:06 -0500 > >Hi, > >Please forgive the newbie question, but my G4 "Sawtooth" needs more hard >drive space and my current arrangement is just entirely too slow (using a >LaCie "Brick" USB external drive.)
