[G4] Setting Monitor Resolution

I have a 9800 too.
Your 22" display only has 1680 by 1050 pixels. That is it's native size.
If you pump more pixels they will be off screen.
You can do less pixels, but it gets jaggy.
My 19" for instance has a max res of 1440x900, and the same thing  
happens with Hi-def.
with older CRT's you might have had the option of screwing it up to  
accomodate your tastes but not the LCD's.
