I had just lit up a stick of Nag Champa, so I thought that I'd investigate... It appears that air is drawn in by the fan nearest the USB/FW ports, and also drawn in by the a fan in behind the circular PS grille; the oblong main-fan grille blows it all out. I reckon that you'd get better flow (w/o) affecting safety by cutting away the plastic grilles on the PS and 'exhaust' outlets. With a bit of care towards a friction fit, you could then attach a piece of pipe to the circular inlet to 'scoop' air from your aircon. unit. (instead of sucking the hot air from the exhaust fan).
