[G4] Will OS 9 Support New Apple HD Monitors?

Hello LIST.

Can anyone help me understand whether the new Apple 23" or 30" 
monitors will work if booted to a G4 running OS 9, with the 
apppropriate graphics card to drive them when booted in OSX?

The old style 23" cinema with the acrylic legs will work in both OS 9 
and OSX.  Will the new ones?

The local mac store couldn't help me with this.  They suggested 
bringing in my machine.  "Please!  Not That!"  :-)
