oops. My mistake then. I thought the Sonnet Aria PCI Card I had was "n" I never noticed a difference though. My MDD is speeding along in my home wifi LAN using an AT&T eWire Wireless Gateway combo DSL Modem/ 4port Router. I opted for the WiFi variation when I needed to move my MDD out of the main Office and into a space down the hall but I did not have Cat5e cable long enough to do the trick. My wife's Windows XP laptop uses the WiFi gateway as well as an old iMac G4 down the hall that a part timer who helps me out uses. The Mac mini I have sits only 12 feet away from the WiFi gateway and I've never noticed the speed of accessing the Internet to be any faster than when I am using my MDD Mac down the hall. I've never deemed myself an expert in the WiFi thing. And 90% of the time I would prefer to Just use good old fashioned Ethernet Cable with Cat5e or Cat6 and connect my home and office, because I still feel that WiFi is harder to manage in Terms of Security. I do not use the Aria card on my Linux or Windows machines so I cannot tell you. There are other PCI card options that are designed for Macs that work in similar function. Just in case you haven't looked OWC aka Other World Computing (www.macsales.com) have a whole listing of 802.11n possibilities... some are USB dongle thingies, and some are PCI card options. My Sonnet Aria works just fine for my problem.
