Well, if you can't find a cheaper replacement somewhere, I suppose  
you are stuck with an upgrade, getting the Mini or waiting til you  
can find the cheaper replacement. I'd check ebay and so on for  
compatible CPUs or a similar enough system being sold cheap, say as a  
parts machine..
