I have not plugged it into a monitor lately, as I don't have one readily handy. I've tried running Disk Utility from two separate machines, a MacBook, (Disk Utility never comes out of the "Gathering disk information..." phase) and a PowerBook G4 (Disk is greyed out and I cannot select it). There has always been a problem with headless G4's. There is a jumper required on the video connector that is required to basically say - no monitor here. It's been talked about before. There's something about feeding back the horizontal synch and sensing it during the boot process. An Apple-supplied video adapter from the three row 15 pin to the two row "Apple" version provides the jumper even if no monitor is connected. I donno what versions were involved but My Sawtooth running OS 10.3.9 definitely requires it. -- --> From the U S of A, the only socialist country that refuses to admit it. <--
