Margaret, Why didn't you upgrade your DP450 to 10.4.11? I'm using this on mine. I don't see why you couldn't just transfer the 250Gb into the Quicksilver and boot from it :-) Should work. How did you get a 250Gb drive into the DP450 (limit is 128Gb on the built in interface)? Same for the QS I think. So if you are using a PCI card I'd just transfer that over also. I no longer use OS9 but if I did I would put it on a different disk or at least a different partition. --- On Mon, 11/3/08, Margaret Krakowiak <imago at bellsouth.net> wrote: > From: Margaret Krakowiak <imago at bellsouth.net> > Subject: [G4] OS install question > To: g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com > Date: Monday, November 3, 2008, 12:20 PM > I just bought a dual 1gig Quicksilver. > It has a 160 gig hard drive, wiped clean, no OS. > Seller said it was running OSX10.4.6 when tested. > > My question is what is the best way to get this machine > up and running.
