Hi Margaret- If you use setup assistant to move your network settings from the DP 450 to the Quicksilver it *should* take care of everything seemlessly. Unless of course it doesn't... That's the setup assistant for you. I would second everything Brian wrote below, the only other thing that you might need is the MAC address from your new Quicksilver's ethernet interface. I used to have AT&T as a provider (quite) a while back and that was one of their requirements, don't know if they still do. -John On Nov 6, 2008, at 1:35 PM, B G wrote: > It will depend an how your modem is setup > > ATT uses a PPPoe protocol, so you will need username and password. > Those could however be stored in the modem. > > You did not say what your current settings are on the DP 450 > > If it is set to automatic using DHCP, you will have no problems the > new machine will connect just fine. > > If the user id an password are stored on your DP you will need them > on the new machine. > > > Brian > > G4 gigE 1.0 GHz Powerlogix, 1 GB RAM > > On Nov 6, 2008, at 10:03 AM, Margaret Krakowiak wrote: >> >>
