[G4] adobe software

I think you can boot the G4 into 9.1 to use Sys9 software. A better solution is to install Sys9.2.2, along with OSX, so you can run the G4 in OSX, and run Sys9 software in the "Classic" mode. When you launch a Sys9 app, the G4 running in OSX, will automatically switch to the "Classic" mode within OSX.
