blow off safari down load FIREFOX, had same prob thought it was because i upgraded from os9. anyway FOREFOX works with all your apps ect.. you wiill like it better !!

Thanks for replying.  I trashed as many prefs as I could find.  No 
effect!!  Still looking for an answer.
