Hi Bill, I have a G4 400 mhz APG powermac. It originally had 256 mb of ram and a 10 gb hard drive. I added 1gb of ram and a 120 gb hard drive to it. I used disk utility to set up the hard drive, then I installed Tiger with no problem at all. I did not have to install OS 9. I am running just fine.
