[G4] Flame Wars/Sleep Problems

On the topic of the G4 Sleep issue which I've been reading on I can
tell you of my dealings with it.

I have a MDD Dual 1.25GHz G4. It was purchased new in 2003. It's been
Overhauled twice since then, courtesy of AppleCare, thank the Lord.

It has always had some sort of Going to sleep problem with my Two PCI
cards that I have with USB ports.
1 card is a Combo Firewire 400 / USB 1.1 card (2 ports each) that
migrated from my old BWG3. The Other card is a 5port USB2.0 Card
which I use extensively for my Canon Printer, Scanner, iPod and for
using very fast large capacity Flash drives.

As long as these two cards are in my computer, my Mac will not sleep
properly.

I am using Mac OSX 10.4.11. I have yet to try Leopard and am still
debating.

I typically leave my Mac on 24/7 unless there is a storm or I am
going too be gone from home for longer than a couple days.

I never figured out how to fix this issue, I learned to live with it.

Peace,

Luke Rademacher
