One concern about getting a G4/G5 is unless you can get it cheap, you are probably wasting money since they are basically no longer supported and won't run OS 10.6 or higher. However, I agree that Apple has completely left out the mid-range market. They are crazy if they think the embedded, non-upradeable minis and iMacs are mid-range. Also, we have an Intel mini at work, and with it's slow laptop HDD, it's only slightly faster than my G4.
