[G4] 2 macs sharing

Hi,

I have 2 macs in the house now..both running 10.4.11.  Both are 
connected to/on the internet one with airport  and the other thru 
ethernet, Don't know that that matters but at one point I got an error 
saying my ISP might not like what I was trying ...so I unchecked that 
box :)

I want to be able to move files between the two as effortlessly as 
possible...maybe share everything from applications to music and general 
files.  I thought remote desktop might be the key...nada..at least for 
me...I have tried everything I could think of to network up the two 
computers (dual 867s) and have almost gotten files sharing to work... 
not quite.  seems the wrong password error, or one or the other computer 
refuses to show up in the finder  "go" network ...To be honest, I don't 
have a clue how to accomplish this even after days of reading online and 
struggling with mac "help".  Can someone tell me the easiest place to 
find this info or if its easy enough to just explain, I'm all 
ears..thanks in advance.
