And, like in those laptop's now days we should have darn array of connecting cables for different gen equipment. Others answered already, so I see those external cases like a good reserve if needed in future. Inexpensive too.

Like many others, I have a dead iMac G5 on my hands. The hard drive  
was removed with the idea of putting it into my G4 Quicksilver to  
retain access to its files.
However, it appears that it needs different connecting cables to mate  
it with the Quicksilver. Specifically, what cables do I need to do  
this and/or would it be better to install it in a suitable external  
hard drive case and go that route?
